Bio: Thinh was born in the former Republic of South Vietnam. She worked for the National Bank of Vietnam, both before and after the fall of Saigon, as a teller supervisor for 10 years. In 1983 Thinh emigrated to the United States and was reunited with her extended family here in Chicago. Thinh initially enrolled in Truman College where she received an Associate Degree in Applied Science with high honors in 1987. She then continued her undergraduate studies at Northeastern Illinois University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1990.
Thinh’s initial full-time employment in the U.S. was at the South-East Asia Center, a not-for-profit social service organization located in the Uptown community, where she worked as the principal accountant and as a program administrator.
During 1994 Thinh joined the Moody Bible Institute's Controller's Office as an Accountant specializing in royalty accounts. Then in the year 2000 she was transferred to work in Moody Press (now known as Moody Publishers), where her responsibilities were gradually broadened. Thinh coordinates all Moody Publisher accounts, from the general journal through the balance sheet, while continuing to specialize in royalty accounts.
